Position Summary:

The Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales process by collaborating with the sales team to identify customer needs, propose solutions, and demonstrate how Token’s products or services can meet those needs. The Sales Engineer serves as a liaison between the customer and the internal technical team, ensuring that customer requirements are understood and translated into viable solutions. Below is a list of non-exhaustive responsibilities. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop sales strategies. 

  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase Token’s products. 

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to customers. 

  • Understand and articulate the technical features, advantages, and benefits of Token’s offerings. 

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, quotes, and technical documentation. 

  • Participate in customer meetings, both onsite and remotely, to address technical inquiries and concerns. 

  • Work closely with the internal technical team to ensure that customer needs are accurately conveyed and addressed. 

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies relevant to Token’s products. 

  • Support post-sales activities, including product sales, training, and troubleshooting, as needed. 

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop technical collateral, such as whitepapers, case studies, and product datasheets. 

  • Communicate customer feedback, concerns, and opportunities during discovery to management and key stakeholders. 

  • Work with management to define and measure key performance indicators for success.

Educational Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field.  

  • 10 years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree 
     

Other Experience, Requirements & Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry required. 

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical sales role. 

  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences. 

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to travel as needed. 

  • Experience with CRM software and other sales tools is a plus. 

    Base salary for this role is between 130,000 and 150,000, plus incentive pay, depending on your unique mix of education and experience.
